Hey, congratulations, that's great news, even if football is, maybe, the fourth best sport around.

That being said, there was something I had been meaning to ask you about which is mentioned in this article:
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=easterbrook/071113

Basically Pulaski Academy in Little Rock doesn't punt. Ever. The statistics and reasoning supporting this are in the article (scroll down to where it says "TREND 3"), but I thought it was very intriguing and would be interested to hear your views on it.

CONGRATULATIONS! I know you will be a great coach and motivator for the kids, but more importantly, that you will be a mentor that models how to be a Christian and have fun.

Congrats! Couldn't be happier for you!

Luke: Have to punt, unless you are a dominant team. I still believe the best teams win with defense.

Thanks to everyone, we have first game last friday in August if you want to come see it.

Whoa! I don't check the ol' blog for a couple of days and look what happens! That's great, man. Congratulations. I know you've been wanting to do this for a while. Best of luck, my friend.

So is the title of you blog going to change from "Footbasktrack Coach" to just "Football Coach"? :)

Kenny Simpson said...

Still the head track coach at ACA... and like to think of myself as more than a casual fan of basketball.

Man, your plate must be really full if you're going to keep those other coaching responsibilities. Maybe we can get a caravan to come down to Montgomery for your first game. Congrats again.

Woohoo!

Sure we can get a caravan just as soon as we get a vehicle that can hold our 4, the bybee 5, and whoever else might want to come....weren't we just talking about getting an RV???

Congrats! It's wonderful to have the opportunity to move up. It is even more so when you work hard to achieve it!
