Last post got me to thinking of all the dumb things famous people say. Here are just a few. My favorite (or all-time low) has to be Mariah Carey showing how dumb she really is.
"You know the one thing that's wrong with this country? Everyone gets a chance to have their fair say."
- Bill Clinton, former U.S. President
"Two grand slams in a week - man, that's seven or eight ribbies right there."
- Bill Madlock, Baseball broadcaster
"You guys line up alphabetically by height."
- Bill Peterson, Florida State football coach
"Whenever I watch TV and I see those poor starving kids all over the world, I can't help but cry. I mean I would love to be skinny like that, but not with all those flies and death and stuff."
- Mariah Carey, Pop
"I can't really remember the names of the clubs that we went to."
- Shaquille O'Neal, basketball player, on whether he had visited the Parthenon during his visit to Greece
"You know the one thing that's hink lightness has to come from a very deep place if it's true lightness."
- Alicia Silverstone, Actress
"How to store your baby walker: First, remove baby."
- Anonymous Manufacturer
"It is wonderful to be here in the great state of Chicago"
- Dan Quayle, former U.S. Vice-President
"If you're killed, you've lost a very important part of your life." -Brooke Shields
"The word 'genius' isn't applicable in football. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein."
-Joe Theisman, quarterback and sports analyst

I'm guessing Dan Quayle has a lot of good quotes like these.
:-)
Here's another great dumb sports quote:
Danny Ford, when coaching the Arkansas Razorbacks, once told a sportswriter who had just demonstrated a firm grasp of the obvious:
"It don't take no scientific rocket to figure that out."
