Double Standard
Apparently if you are a female teacher it is not as big a deal if you have sex with a student. This has got to be one of the worst double standards I have ever seen. I knew there was a chance of her not going to jail, but to actually hear about it makes me wonder why? Cameo Patch should be in prison for what she did. Now she will be famous.

You would think she would get some jail time, even if it was just a "cameo" appearance.
Why didn't my highschool ever hire good looking teaches like this...
Jon: Probably because they'd molest the 6th graders...oh wait that must just be her.
I can see a 14 year old not really knowing what is going on, but I can't see that you claim a 16-17 year old doesn't have any idea what they are doing. Just listen to the kids talk about what they do with the girlfriends or the easy girls at school. Yes, the teachers have NO business doing these things but these kids aren't innocent either.
The kids are not innocent, but a 29-year old has significantly more life experience than a high school kid.
You are absolutely right when you talk of this being a double standard. That is precisely what it is.
If a 29 year old male teacher were having sex with a 13 or 14 year old girl, he would be locked up for years, and be forced to register as a sex offender. And rightfully so.
But when the offender is a women, we sort of wink and look the other way, like it is some kind of porn fantasy. But the damage is just as destructive.
I have a friend who moved when he was a young teenager, and there was a neighbor who was very "friendly." At the time, he didn't mind, but as an adult, he has some serious issues.
Adults should be more responsible.
JasonK: Correct. Fox has broke another news story of a 29 year old female teacher with a 17 year old student. That is not as bad as this case, but a male teacher again would be in prison.
